Ultrasound-assisted pressurized liquid extraction of anthocyanins from Aronia melanocarpa pomace

This work aimed to investigate the optimum conditions of pressure, temperature, ultrasound intensity, solvent concentration and flowrate ultrasound-assisted pressurized liquid extraction anthocyanins from Aronia melanocarpa pomace. The novel setup operates with an aqueous solution citric acid as solvent. optimization was performed in order maximize total content extracted optimized 70 °C, 180 bar, a 1.5 % wt. acid, 200 W bath were obtained. These resulted 88.0 45 min. A kinetic study influence temperature on anthocyanin yield obtained at optimal conditions. Moreover, component stability assessed prove that system could successfully operate 80 °C. Compared classical batch using same feedstock, extract increased by 19%.
